Meet our Teaching Team

Emily Tarrant
Emily is the founder of YoGology and studio owner. She is a Yoga Alliance registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Meditation Teacher.
Emily began practicing yoga regularly in 2019 and it quickly became an important part of her life. Emily is an advocate of yoga as more than a physical practice, having experienced the benefits of meditation, pranayama and the application of yogic philosophy in her own life. Her passion lies in teaching yoga as a holistic practice that can be applied as much ‘off the mat’ as it can ‘on the mat’ to help people live healthier, happier and more fulfilled lives.
In 2021, Emily became a Certified Meditation Teacher after undertaking a 100-hour meditation teacher training course with the British School of Meditation, one of the most established meditation schools in the UK. In February 2024, she completed a second 100-hour meditation teacher training course with Dr Keshava at Sarvaguna Yoga in Goa, India. She has also completed training in Restorative Yoga with Anna Ashby, and has assisted her delivering this training to other teachers.
Outside of teaching yoga and meditation, Emily works as a Registered Psychologist, and she is particularly passionate about yoga and meditation as tools to enhance wellbeing and reduce psychological distress.
Emily teaches dynamic, vinyasa style classes with a physical and philosophical theme. In her classes, you will work with each theme for a number of weeks to enable a deeper exploration of the theme.
She would love to support you in exploring this practice.

Liz Brinkmann
Liz’s journey into yoga began over twelve years ago at a gym, where she entered her first class unsure of what to expect. Feeling out of her depth but driven by an inner urge, she participated in an Ashtanga practice. As soon as she completed her first round of Surya Namaskar A (a series of poses integral to Ashtanga Yoga), Liz knew she was hooked. From that moment, her passion for the yoga tradition and practice flourished.
Over the years, Liz has maintained a consistent practice, embracing strong Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Rocket styles, along with Yin for balance and Hatha.
In September 2022, she took a significant step in her yoga journey by completing a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course with Jason Crandell, achieving her Yoga Alliance certification.
Influenced by her background in Ashtanga and Rocket styles, Liz’s classes feature a dynamic Vinyasa practice focused on cultivating power, precision, and mindfulness. Her sessions aim to help students develop whole-body awareness and a sensory experience of union. Accessible yet challenging, Liz’s classes are invigorating and energizing, making them suitable for students of all levels.

Claire Reynolds
Claire is a 250hr qualified teacher who is trained in both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. She has been practicing yoga for over 5 years, and has previously worked as a manager at studio in Leeds.
Since immersing herself in the world of yoga, she has gained a practical toolkit to help gain more autonomy and power over her own state of being, having been diagnosed with a number of chronic health conditions including Endometriosis, PMDD, and Fibromyalgia. She is now passionate about sharing the tools that have helped her on her healing journey.
Yoga sessions with Claire have a focus on nourishment and healing, using slow and gentle movement and stillness to create an environment where the body and mind can become calm and clear. Her teachings aim to empower people to discover their own autonomy, strength and confidence. Claire particularly enjoys working with others who suffer from chronic illness to help them find a healthy and supportive routine and relationship with themselves. Her aim is to create and hold a safe space for anyone who needs it, particularly welcoming those who feel disempowered and lacking in confidence.

Lydia Brown
After university, Lydia travelled around Asia with the intention of spending an extended period living and working in Australia after this. Whilst in Bali in 2017, she discovered yoga, signing up to her first yoga class with the anticipation that it would enhance her active lifestyle, which included distance running. After settling in Australia, Lydia found a yoga studio and discovered that yoga enabled her to express herself by finding creativity in movement in ways which were beyond her expectations.
In 2019 after a period spent living in Australia, Lydia travelled to Rishikesh in India to complete a 200 hour Vinyasa & Ashtanga teacher training course. Since then, she has completed further training in Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Mindfulness. In addition, she completed a further 300 hour advanced teacher training course in 2022, this time in Nepal.
Lydia aims to inspire her students with dynamic, creative & strong sequences which combine her love of music. Lydia creates safe spaces in which students can move as a way of expressing themselves, coming away from each class feeling a little lighter and with an enhanced self-connection.

Jennifer Fawcett
In my late teens, I was training to be a professional dancer, but after years of determination, I began doubting myself and comparing myself to others. The thoughts became overwhelming, and at 19, I walked away from my lifelong dream.
For nearly a decade, I avoided anything resembling a dance studio until I discovered aerial yoga at a local studio. That curiosity led me to vinyasa and hatha classes, where, at first, my ego drove my practice.
Over time, I realised that yoga was far more than physical - it was a way to understand my thoughts, train my mind, and cultivate peace.
To deepen my knowledge, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher training in June 2023 and am now pursuing my 300-hour certification. My intention as a teacher is to share creative flows that inspire peace, on the mat and beyond.

Iain Ross
Iain discovered yoga during a challenging time marked by what he now recognizes as chronic stress and anxiety. Practicing at his local studio during lunch breaks offered him fleeting moments of peace, igniting a desire to learn more about the practice.
Over the years, Iain experienced ups and downs with yoga, often feeling frustrated when he couldn’t “perfect” certain postures. Watching more flexible practitioners, like “Bendy Wendy,” next to him sometimes felt disheartening.
After years of practice, Iain decided to pursue teacher training with Yoga Hero in Leeds. During this journey, he shed his inner perfectionist and realized that āsana is just the tip of the iceberg, prompting him to look inward. This shift transformed his practice forever.
Since then, Iain has had the privilege of learning from some of the leading practitioners and teachers in the yoga world. Driven by a deep-rooted desire for knowledge, he takes great pride in sharing yoga with others. He feels it is his dharma—his life’s purpose—to be on this path and to use his own hardships to help others heal.
Iain's classes are designed as inclusive spaces for everyone to explore yoga, welcoming individuals of all abilities, backgrounds, ages, genders, sexualities, colors, races, creeds, and everything in between. He believes that if yoga means union, then it should unite us all.

Olivia Wilkinson
After spending four adventurous years working everywhere from the snowy French Alps to the Northernmost tip of the wild Scottish Highlands, Olivia was yearning for a change of pace and a practice that could ground her to the present moment.
After growing up playing all manner of intense fast-paced sports in competition, the inward nature of yoga was something beautiful for Olivia’s mind.
She fell in love with the physical aspect of yoga by establishing a daily practice, but also the wonderful community that came with it - Olivia is always the last one left chatting after a class!
Wanting to advance her journey deeper into the physical and philosophical side of yoga, Olivia travelled to sunny Spain to complete her 200-hour teacher training, with a speciality focus on Ashtanga and Vinyasa.
Olivia is also a Reiki Level 2 Practitioner.

Laura Menzer
Laura is Yoga Alliance registered Yoga Teacher, teaching both Vinyasa and Yin styles of yoga. Laura first fell in love with yoga during her travels in Australia, where she found solace and inspiration practicing by the ocean. The rhythmic crashing of the waves provided a calming backdrop, allowing her to deeply connect with her breath and movement."
Laura finds immense joy in guiding students to connect with their bodies and minds through mindful movement. In her classes, Laura encourages students to explore intuitive movement, allowing their bodies to guide them. You will cultivate a space to quieten the mind, release tension, and experience the freedom of movement.

Claire Rogers
Yoga first found Claire at university, where it quickly became an important intentional pause in her days - a grounding reset she still values deeply.
After years of dedicated practice, Claire completed her 200-hour teacher training in the UK with the Collective School of Yoga and has since taught a range of styles including Vinyasa, Yin, and Hatha-inspired classes.
Her classes are creative and strong, offering a flowy, breath-led experience grounded in clear, intentional cueing. Claire has a particular passion for teaching in a way that encourages students to move mindfully, with a deep respect for their own bodies - whether that means embracing stillness, exploring progressions, or letting go of ego altogether.
Outside of the studio, Claire works part-time in carbon quantification, and loves trail running, hiking, and learning about injury prevention and longevity in movement.

Leanne Lloyd
Leanne began practicing yoga about 18 years ago, initially seeking physical benefits but soon discovering its positive impact on her mental health as well.
As a practicing dentist and a qualified functional nutritional counselor, Leanne's true passion lies in yoga. She teaches Vinyasa at a pace that encourages participants to connect with their bodies, making necessary adjustments to ensure a safe practice.
Dedicated to exploring the subtle physical and energetic movements that can enhance one's practice, Leanne emphasizes progression at a comfortable rate for each individual. She also enjoys delving into the philosophical aspects of yoga, often incorporating thematic elements into her classes.
Leanne loves yoga for the way it makes her feel and is eager to share that experience with everyone she meets.

Sarah Garg
Over the last decade, Sarah Garg has volunteered with the recycling team at Glastonbury, where she found the healing fields increasingly captivating. It was at Glastonbury that she experienced her first sound bath, sparking her desire to explore sound healing further. Determined to share these magical and mesmerizing sounds with her community, Sarah researched and completed her training in Crystal Bowl Sound Therapy with Chang Mai Holistics in Thailand.
Sarah believes that physical and mental wellbeing are essential for a healthy life, requiring practice and dedication. She utilizes the ancient and calming sounds of crystal bowls to help rebalance the seven chakras (energy centers) and quiet busy minds.
Sound healing, or sound baths, have a long history, based on the idea that every part of the body creates a specific vibration. Vibrational healing is rooted in the understanding that everything in the universe, including our bodies, exists in a state of vibration.
Each sound bath experience is unique, and participants can expect to leave feeling relaxed, rested, and rebalanced. Since her introduction to sound healing at Glastonbury, Sarah has aimed to bring this beautiful experience to the wider community.
She is thrilled to be collaborating with Yogology and looks forward to welcoming everyone to her sessions.
